A warning to the newly Elected Sandwell Councillors

Complaint made by Former Assistant Chief Executive of Sandwell Council

Back in August 2018, a complaint was made by Ms Melanie Dudley, the then Assistant Chief Executive regarding the behaviour of a former Councillor Richard Marshall. The report we are referencing was compiled by solicitors Wilkin Chapman LLP of Grimsby.

This report was found on the internet following a simple search for articles including the term "Sandwell Skidder" and makes for interesting reading. 

Lesson from history

Going through the lengthy document what is clear is that Ms Dudley had a right to make a complaint regarding standards however it also referenced "Jules" or Julian Saunders of Kings Norton Birmingham as being a "witness" to the actions of the former Councillor Mr Marshall. We are interested in Mr Marshall's statement as to how he became involved with "Jules" and the catastrophic events which occurred afterwards leading to Mr Marshall stepping down from his Cabinet position and ultimately losing his seat on the Council.

Meetings in Pubs

We have often heard that "Jules" likes a pub. In fact, he's even put up a video showing how much the other locals enjoy his company. Jule's Visit to a pub - he seems to be talking a bit slurred on this but it must be the recording. 

One such occasion was written in the report:

"An Obsessed Simpleton"

We carried on reading this report and came to the statement from Mr Marshall which depicts, and we have to say, a very lurid story of the actions of "Jules".

Entrapment, Back street pubs in Wednesbury and e-mails from former Cllr Ian Jones trying to expose Ian Jones wrongdoing

"Comments never intended for public consumption"

Writes and acts like a petulant child

Sending messages via whatsapp as a Councillor means you act in an "Official Capacity and subject to the Code of Conduct"

The moral of this blog and a lesson to the newly elected Councillors of Sandwell, be careful who you confide in. You may end up losing your career over a whatsapp message. There are no friends it would seem in blogging and Council work.

Reminder - It is time that "Jules" is called out for the abusive troll that he is and at no point can his "blog" be classed as "Journalism". This is just a manifestation of his wild and frankly disturbing ramblings because his wife was made redundant from Sandwell Council over her inability to run The Public and make it financially sound.
