Sandwell "Independent" Candidate claims MP backing him!

Darryl Magher, Independent Candidate for Yew Tree and Great Barr in the Sandwell Local Elections is stating the West Bromwich East Conservative MP Nicola Richards is "backing him" according to his latest 'vote for me' leaflet!

Unfortunately for Mr Magher, Ms Richards has made it clear after she was advised that her image was being used without her permission that she was in fact only endorsing her Conservative Candidate and certainly not Mr Magher!

And yet, despite another candidate bringing this to the attention of the Conservative MP, Mr Magher then goes on to accuse Ms Richards of Cronyism! Now, Mr Magher on his witter page, and yes, we did mean witter and not Twitter, goes on to give to a handy insight into what "cronyism" means:

We can certainly confirm that Ms Richards had no hand in getting Ms White elected to office 5 years ago and we can certainly confirm that Ms White having been a councillor for the last 5 years does hold the qualifications to be a councillor which is what Mr Magher certainly does not have and he certainly does not have any qualifications to be a Member of Parliament and all that entails! "Wolf! There's a Wolf" we hear being cried! 

And we then have other instances where photographs were being used as part of his election campaign that he is certainly not allowed to use! Look at Councillor Maria Crompton's message to him following his first attempt at election material:

We also see the Conservative Candidate in Yew Tree and Great Barr also having the same issues:

 

So, another fine example of debating with the opposition there. We would love to see the hustings with these few. All you would hear from Mr Magher would be "Cronyism!" "Hypocrite!!" But what is he actually going to do for you, the voter?

Lets get a bit of history on Mr Magher.

Criminal Conviction

What Mr Magher hasn't told you is that he has a criminal conviction for Criminal Damage. Back in 2014, Mr Magher had, shall we say a difference of an opinion with a local Community Centre Chairman and key scratched all the way around his car causing £1258 worth of damage however according to the "Express & Star" Mr Magher was "too drunk to remember it".

The outcome? Following a trial at Sandwell Magistrates' Court, Mr David Edwards, chairman of the bench, found Magher guilty of criminal damage and ordered him to be electronically tagged and put on a night-time curfew for four months and he was also ordered to pay £600 court costs, £60 victim surcharge and £1,258 compensation for the vehicle damage.

Please do read the article and the video as it does bring to mind the calibre of candidate Mr Magher seems to be.

We also know that Mr Magher was a candidate for the "For Britain" Party which is said to be: The For Britain Movement is a minor far-right political party in the United Kingdom, founded by the anti-Islam activist Anne Marie Waters after she was defeated in the 2017 UK Independence Party leadership election.

What is more concerning is his interview with Anne Marie Waters where he is very vocal against the local Muslim residents in West Bromwich.

We won't insult your intelligence by having to listen to it all but we do urge you to go to 19mins in, yes 19 mins in to this recording and you will hear from his own lips the islamaphobia about Muslim residents.

From speaking to local candidates for the Local Elections in Sandwell, we also understand that Mr Magher attempted to join the Conservative Party and the Reform Party but was turned down. We wonder why? 

Even our friend "Jules" made it clear on his amateur video recording on his mobile phone that "We don't agree on politics!" and we can certainly see why! Why would "Jules" be aligning himself with a convicted criminal with Islamophobic tendencies and who likes to steal photo's for his own ends and not show the truth?
